The short version. Be kind. Do not post anything offensive, and do not use a name that is. I remove content and people that break these rules, and I look at reports within 24 hours.
These terms cover Carrot Counter, the iPhone app, the Apple Watch app and the web app, made by Steve Warrender ("I"). By using it you agree to them. The iPhone app is also covered by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement.
You must be 13 or older. If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian first.
This applies to your name, your bunch names and every photo you share:
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive people. The point of the app is spotting carrots.
I can remove content or accounts that break these rules, without notice where that is needed to keep others safe. Because there are no logins, I cannot stop someone who reinstalls the app from starting a fresh account, which is why bunches need an owner's approval to join.
You keep ownership of your photos. By sharing one to a bunch you allow me to store it and show it to that bunch's members, and nothing else. You are responsible for what you share. Removing a photo, or deleting your account, removes it from the app.
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. Your recovery code lets anyone who has it take over your account, so do not share it.
Carrot Counter is a hobby project, provided as it is. It may change, have bugs, or stop. I will try to give notice if it stops, but I cannot promise to. Nothing here limits your legal rights as a consumer, or anything the law does not let me limit, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Beyond that, I am not liable for losses from using the app, and I will not be liable for losing your counts or photos.
I may update these terms and will change the date above. If you keep using the app after that, you accept the new version. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
